Initially it seemed more like a gathering of street performers than a political movement. A few hundred protesters briefly tied up Wall Street on the weekend of 17 september, some wearing face paint and many company homemade signs. The focus of their anger was free-floating: the bank bailout, income inequality, student debt, businesses in General. But they were on to something, and in the weeks since the Wall Street occupy movement has spread to San Francisco, Philadelphia, Dallas, Washington, and elsewhere. A rally New York on 5 October included members of several major trade unions. Here's a look at some of those who came to Wall Street.

"I came here to occupy of Wall Street. I am pissed off that companies can operate our country they want to because of their monetary influence. "
